Right-click on the Tahometer icon in the desktop tray and go to the Statistics page, where you can view your tracked activity with screenshots, manage projects and users, and even create reports for later invoicing. From here, you may enter your settings in the upper left-hand corner in order to customize Tahometer. You can also view detailed statistics, including total off and online hours.
Tahometer desktop application remains unclickable until you activate it. In order to do this, press ctrl (or cmd on macOS) and then left-click on the agent. Your app will then be active — all buttons will be clickable and you can even move the agent around the desktop. Once you click outside the app, however, it becomes inactive again, which means clicking on it will go straight through it and you will simply interact with the window or desktop behind it. For more information about Tahometer’s desktop app features, see http://blog.tahometer.com/2017/04/03/introducing-tahometer-3-0/
By default, Tahometer’s transmission protocol is set to the encrypted HTTPS.
Tahometer tracks mouse clicks and keyboard activity. Perhaps you haven’t used your mouse or keyboard for more than 10 minutes. If, however, there has been some activity on these devices in the last 10 minutes, then please check your version of Tahometer. This is a known problem affecting users of older versions of the desktop application, so update your tracker to fix the issue. In order to do this, right-click on the Tahometer tray icon, choose “Update Tahometer” and install the latest version. Note that in order for these changes to take effect, you will have to restart your computer.
The numbers displayed on the agent are only updated with every new screenshot.
You can switch users in the tray menu (accessible by right-clicking on Tahometer’s tray icon). Select “Log off,” click on the Start button, and then enter the details for the account you wish to log into. It is important to note, however, that when changing between users, any activity that has not been sent to the server will be lost forever, so make sure that this has been done!
Perhaps you are using programs that are running as administrator. Run Tahometer with administrator privileges to gain access to these applications. Please exit from the Tahometer app (Ctrl+Alt+Q) or click “Exit” button. Apply the right mouse button clicking on the Tahometer app icon/shortcut (this icon might be located on your desktop or in the start menu) and choose “Properties” option. Follow to the “Compatibility” tab. Then tick the “Run this program as an administrator” item in the “Privilege Level” section and click “OK” button. After these actions please run the Tahometer app by using this icon/shortcut.
You may only have restricted access to the system tray. One way to fix this issue is to install the dconf utility (sudo apt-get install dconf-tools) and change the value of systray-whitelist to “all” on the desktop> unity> panel. If you want, you can allow access to the system tray for all programs, or simply add “tahometer” if you would like to give access to Tahometer individually.
For Tahometer to function normally on macOS, you will have to go to your system settings: “System Preferences” -> “Security & Privacy” -> “Privacy” tab -> “Accessibility” -> and then check the box Tahometer.
In statistics page click on the Setting => Personal information. In the pop-up window in the field "Time Zone:" you have to choose a new time zone according to your location.
